Drooling Over An iPod

I’ve always preferred function over form. That’s why I have a ZEN Vision M instead of an iPod Video, and a fat smartphone (6630) instead of a slim phone (ex. Moto Razr V3) . But ever since the 32GB iPod touch came out, I’ve been drooling over it. I guess I’m hooked with Apple’s marketing hype. LOL. But seriously, at P20,000 (<US$499), it seems like a great buy.
With the iPod touch, I could flick through album covers and find my music, download and watch my favorite movies, rentals, TV shows, and more from the iTunes Store, tap into thousands of photos, and surf the net thru wi-fi. All using incredible Multi-Touch touchscreen technology on a beautiful 3.5-inch display.
Getting this with minimal cash outflow would mean I have to sell my ZEN Vision M and PSP. That means I’m giving up a multi-format video player, FM radio, and voice recorder in the ZEN. Features of which the iPod lacks. And iPod games can never match the games I could play with my PSP.
So, would an iPod touch be worth it? NO!
But, it’s an iPod. Damn!
