And The Winner Is… Nokia 3120 Classic

I have decided not to cut my Smart line so I could keep my number for at least another two years. And since Globe’s 3G service sucks anyways, I don’t see the point of getting a Globe-locked iPhone 3G anymore. I suppose the original iPhone may already suffice. With that said, I availed of Smart’s Retention Program for postpaid subscribers. The retention program allows an existing postpaid subscriber to get a new phone in exchange for a new two-year lock-in period. At Plan 800 (consumable,? around $18 a month), I could already get a 3G phone for free. There were four 3G phones to choose from. And last Sunday, I came up with a decision to get the Nokia 3120 Classic instead of the LG KU380, Samsung J750, and Sony Ericsson K530i. The choice was a no-brainer. The Nokia 3120 Classic had the best screen size and resolution at 320×240. Add to it the ease of use that a Nokia is known for. And to top it off, I didn’t know it was so slim. Well, any new phone would feel so light and slim if you used to have a Nokia 6630. I’ll be posting a full review of the Nokia 3120 Classic very soon so please do drop by here again. Or subscribe to my RSS feed to keep you updated. Thanks!
