Three OSes Are Better Than One
I have always wanted to get away from Windows. Several attempts have been made in the past. I have tried migrating to Ubuntu. But after just two weeks I went back to XP for gaming purposes. Linux Mint never got installed in my laptop (due to time constraints). And Hackintosh didn’t work.
So I got the Mac instead. But I realized I really can’t ditch Windows. Not because of the gaming, But because of the personal finance software that I use. Thanks to VMware, running XP on top of my Mac was easy. Then I bumped into an article about gOS (google OS - though not related to Google), an Ubuntu-based linux distro that maximizes the use of google gadgets and other open source applications including WINe. Installing gOS was a breeze, and in as fast as 30 minutes, I already have both Linux and Windows running on my Mac. To what purpose I shall use gOS for, I do not know yet. But when I find time to play with it, I’ll let you know. I know there is an old saying that “two heads (in this case, operating systems) are better than one.” But I dare say: Three OSes Are Better Than One.
