Globe’s iPhone 3G Pricing: Ridiculous

I’m speechless. I don’t know what to say.

Actually, I got a whole f’n lot to say. First, thank you Globe for making me realize that Globe will never be worthy of my money. But I’m still getting an iPhone, just not with Globe.

Oh come on, Globe! This is ridiculous! Detailed iPhone 3G Plans and rates can be seen here.

You just found the perfect word to describe it. It’s a major rip-off, I tell you, even worse than Rogers’ iPhone contracts.

And to think that Apple - no, Steve Jobs himself - told us in one of his earlier keynotes, that the phone will only cost $199 maximum (with contract) in any country… It’s just frustrating.

Globe Telecom is not ridiculous. They are being wise because they know that the grey market is wild. They just want to get all the profit before their customers plan to sim unlock their iPhones. Cheers!

This is really a rip-off. Globe can’t sell their services that’s why they are now selling iphone.

This 3g iphone version is just $199 in the US. Ginagawa naman tayong tanga ng Globe.

Well I don’t think its a rip off. It’s a question of affordability. This is good so that only a few of us who can really AFFORD it can have it. Who says life is fair. It never is.

i have recently got the globe iphone, its really expensive but i want to get my hands on it, i have to say it looks really good but if you want a cellphone, just by n-series instead or other phones with the same price, the battery life sucks and have trouble downloading apps, there are a lot of apps but most of them are useless and you have to pay to get one

why do you guys think it’s expensive. for a good plan it’s like 20K for an iphone. that’s about the same price you goons are paying for these new nokia phones (the e and n series). just got myself an iphone and paid 20 k for it. same price i would have paid for a new nokia phone.

    and to qu33rj03 who said

I was cracking up at what you said. you are so mean…but props to making me laugh really hard. so tell me, can YOU afford an iPhone?

just buy the godddamnd iphone in the istore and forget globe.
globe makes us blind. kasi they overcharge u sa usage ng wifi. at kung ang level ng wifi ay nasa lowest, magchacharge na sila. at para hindi daw kayo magpay sa kanila, kailangan daw ng slide sa off button for 15 seconds. but iphone isnt retarted to switch the wifi off! it turns off AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, most less than a second. globe IS retarted for making us believe them. and it is too much. like, 40,000[including the plan after [x] years] for an iphone? id rather get mine somewhere.

anyway wait for iphone 32 gb :) its way better. it has camera flash :)
