Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus to bring iPhone to the region
Manila, 12 May 2008 ? Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to the Philippines, Singapore, India, and Australia later this year.

Finally, a local mobile carrier for the iPhone. I’m dropping my iPod touch aspirations for this one. Because with the iPhone, I am getting an iPod touch + cellphone + camera. Now, if only the iPhone had 3G…
For now, I’m gonna play the waiting game. And hopefully, by the time the 3G iPhone comes around, Globe has lowered its 3G rates, and improved its 3G services. But then again, that’s just wishful thinking. LOL.
